Hello, I'm Chef Sam.
I have always had a passion for cooking, and there's nothing more fulfilling than seeing friends and customers enjoy the meals I prepare. For most of my career, I’ve been self-employed, starting as an engineer before transitioning into the jewelry business, where I wholesaled gems and custom-made clothing. However, when COVID hit, I was forced to close my business as I relied on in-person meetings with clients. During this time, I channeled my energy into developing my culinary skills. I took master classes from some of the world's best chefs, attended the Culinary Institute of America (CIA), and immersed myself in cookbooks and online resources. Three years ago, I launched Salat Foods, a food trailer specializing in Mediterranean cuisine. Along the way, I expanded into catering, offering a range of dishes beyond Mediterranean—Italian, Greek, Middle Eastern, and more. I’ve had the privilege of catering for weddings, birthdays, graduations, and special events, bringing delicious flavors to every celebration.

Chef Sam was a dream come true in our kitchen! We were absolutely blown away by his cooking, his energy, and his attention to detail. From the moment he stepped into our home, he brought the warmest attitude — kind, professional, and genuinely passionate about food. The dishes were all mind blowing. The lamb was finger-licking good. The creamy penne alla vodka was comfort food at its finest. The greek salad was fresh and crisp. He even brought authentic Bulgarian cheese that made the greek salad super flavorful. The minestrone soup was hearty and wholesome. My wife being from the Balkan, loved the authentic spanakopita that was made to perfection. And last but not the least, the makbuba & toast was bursting with flavor. He didn’t just cook us a delicious dinner — he stocked us up with leftovers we’re now enjoying for the rest of the week. It’s like having a five-star meal prepped just for us, every day. All of this cost us less money than taking our family out to a restaurant or getting takeout several times a week. Thank you Chef Sam!! We can’t wait to have you back again!
